It was a great day to explore a seldom used trail in Thetis Lake Park. Part of me likes walking through spiderwebs on the trail, it signifies you are the first person to pass through there in a while. The Craigflower Creek trail on the eastern side of the park is just far enough away from the highway that you can't hear the traffic, and when the creek is running faster you wont hear much else. This time of the year the water level is pretty low, but that also means the trail is dry. I was out with a friend for the afternoon who lives with a big family, I could tell he was enjoying the tranquil silence. Of course, I was too :) This trail isn't to physically demanding, but still offers some great scenery and dense forest. To make a 'Loop' of the trail you have to walk the road through the park back to your car, or you could always double back and see the trail from a different perspective.
